The City of Menifee has officially welcomed a new Christmas tree to Central Park.
Planted in a 14-by-14 hole, the deodar cedar tree is set to become the centerpiece of the city’s Christmas tree lighting celebrations and a focal piece for the park’s newest enhancements, which include a bridge and amphitheater.
The towering 40-year-old tree is 53 feet tall, 30 feet wide, and weighs a whopping 60,000 pounds.
Two more small plants of the same species will be planted in the park next week.
The addition of the tree marks another milestone in the continued transformation of Central Park into a premier destination for events, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
