City of Murrieta to hold ribbon-cutting for new pickleball courts at Alderwood Park

The City of Murrieta has announced the opening of three new pickleball courts at Alderwood Park, expanding recreational opportunities for the community and meeting the growing demand for one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports.

The ribbon cutting for the new courts will be held on Thursday, April 30, at 9 a.m. Community members are invited to attend and celebrate the addition, which brings the total number of courts at Alderwood Park to five.

“Alderwood Park continues to evolve as a vibrant gathering place for our community,” Mayor Jon Levell said. “These new courts not only support active lifestyles but also bring people together in a fun and engaging way. I want to thank our municipal and community services departments for getting this project done efficiently so we can meet our community’s needs.”

The courts are open to the public during regular park hours and can be reserved online.
