The City of Murrieta welcomed a new Trader Joe’s to the community during a ribbon-cutting on Friday, June 28.

Located in the Murrieta Plaza Shopping Center at 40388 Murrieta Hot Springs Rd., customers will find unconventional and interesting products, as well as everyday basics like milk, eggs, and fresh produce.

The new 11,455-square-foot store is located in the former Office Max location, anchored by Sam’s Club. Store operating hours are daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

According to the city, Trader Joe’s was one of the top requested businesses. The city has pursued Trader Joe’s for more than 10 years.

As a neighborhood grocery store, Trader Joe’s prides itself on hiring locals. Hiring efforts are still underway. Anyone interested in applying can visit www.traderjoes.com/careers for more information.

Through the company’s longstanding Neighborhood Shares Program, the new Murrieta Trader Joe’s will donate 100% of unsold products to various non-profit, community-based organizations seven days a week.
