The City of Perris will be hosting an eight-week Junior Master Gardener program for kids ages seven through 14 at the Perris Senior Center, 100 N. D Street.
The Junior Master Gardener program is an innovative gardening program where youth learn about horticultural and environmental science education, and leadership and life skills development through fun and creative activities. The program intends to help young people become good gardeners and good citizens so they can make a positive contribution to their community, school, and family.
Level one, for ages seven through 10, will start on Tuesday, June 13. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Parents must attend a mandatory orientation on Wednesday, June 7, at 4 p.m.
Level two, for ages 11 through 14, will start on Monday, June 12. Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Parents must attend a mandatory orientation on Wednesday, June 7, at 5 p.m.
