The city recently replaced the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit that was initially installed at City Hall in 1999.
It was determined during a recent service call that one of the two HVAC units required extensive repairs. Due to the age of the unit, the estimated cost to repair the unit exceeded the replacement cost as parts for the unit are either discontinued or no longer available.
The city sought and received three proposals to determine the lowest cost to replace the unit. Air Force 1 Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning provided the lowest proposal, totaling $7,800. The work was completed on September 23.
