Canyon Lake Community Theatre (CLCT) celebrated a successful opening weekend of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, with its highest-grossing opening weekend since reopening after a two-year closure due to the COVID pandemic.

“As a small nonprofit organization, we rely on our patrons’ contributions to help us continue to bring live theater to the community,” Producer Nicole Garvito said. “We are grateful for every individual who joined us this past weekend and even more proud to have heard such wonderful reviews from our viewers.”

There are still three more opportunities to see this show: October 24, 25, and 26 at 7 p.m. at Indian Beach. A special meet and greet with Belle and the Beast will be held on October 24 at 6:30 p.m. For tickets, visit www.clctheater.com.

Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage adaptation features enchanting songs by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with additional new songs by Menken and Tim Rice.

In addition to the show, CLCT will be holding its board of directors elections at the end of November. Those interested in joining the board should submit a letter of intent to [email protected].
