The Canyon Lake Enrichment Activities and Recreation (C.L.E.A.R.) Foundation announced the appointment of two new board members: Bill Van Vleet and Erin Adams-Halfon. They join President Bradley Morton, Vice President Jeremy Smith, Treasurer Kasey Castillo, Secretary Jonda Morton, and Director Darcy Burke.
“We are so pleased with the addition of talent and character Erin and Bill bring to our board,” President Morton said. “They both bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm for the types of recreational events, youth activities, and outreach that we are currently providing and plan to provide for our community. The future is bright and we are grateful they have both accepted our invitations to join us on this journey.”
Launched in 2022, C.L.E.A.R. is a nonprofit, philanthropic, charitable foundation geared at enriching the lives of Canyon Lake kids ages eight to 16. The foundation was born out of the need for a hub to interface with the city, POA, water district, community clubs and groups, local businesses, and community members that want to contribute to a tax-exempt program that benefits Canyon Lake kids.
The goal of the C.L.E.A.R. Foundation is to encourage healthy choices and good judgment through programs and recreational activities that promote conservation, lake stewardship, water safety, awareness, team building, and community involvement.
“I’m honored to be a member of the C.L.E.A.R. Board to be an advocate for the conservation and stewardship of our lake, youth, and community,” Van Vleet said.
Last summer, C.L.E.A.R. partnered with California State Parks to host a Junior Lifeguard Program. Forty-one Canyon Lake kids participated. The foundation will be partnering again with California State Parks, as well as hosting a week-long Water Sports Program in Canyon Lake.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to be part of an organization that deeply cares about our Canyon Lake community and youth,” Adams-Halfon said.
