Comedian Andy Dick, 57, was arrested this morning on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol in public and failure to register as a sex offender.
On January 13 at 12:30 a.m., deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to the 15700 block of Grand Avenue in the City of Lake Elsinore where they located Dick displaying signs of being under the influence of alcohol, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Station reported. He was arrested without incident.
During a routine records check, it was determined that Dick was a registered sex offender who was not up-to-date on his registration, the department said. He was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on the charges of being under the influence of alcohol in public and failing to register as a sex offender.
The comic’s bail was set at 5,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 5, according to jail records.
In 2022, Dick was sentenced to 90 days in Los Angeles County jail after a jury found him guilty of groping an Uber driver in 2018. He was ordered to register as a sex offender.
This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Deputy Tomer at the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station at 951-245-3300.
