The City of Canyon Lake will begin construction on Railroad Canyon Road on Monday, October 27.
The grant-funded safety project will include better lighting and visibility, upgraded pedestrian crossings, and improved traffic operations at key intersections with concrete median barriers, median roadway lighting, chevron signs and other warning devices, pedestrian crossing enhancements, and extension of the protected eastbound left-turn lane at Canyon Lake Drive and Railroad Canyon Road.
Work will occur Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Commuters can expect intermittent lane closures, added delays at peak times, and reduced speeds.
The anticipated completion date is February 20, 2026.
