Deputies respond to collision involving a pedestrian and big rig

On Monday about 5:47 p.m., deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Perris Station responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision in the parking lot of a distribution center near the intersection of West Ramona Expressway and Indian Avenue in Perris.

Deputies arrived within minutes and located a collision involving a big rig and a pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries the next morning, according to the sheriff’s department. The identity of the pedestrian is not being released at this time.
