Deputies responded to 269 calls for service in the City of Canyon Lake in February

On March 8, Lieutenant Will Edwards of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department presented a public safety update for the City of Canyon Lake for the month of February 2023.

Deputies responded to 296 calls from service, a decrease of 37 calls from the previous month. Four Part One crimes were reported. They include three thefts and one motor vehicle theft.

Deputies wrote four traffic citations and investigated two traffic collisions. This does not include traffic collisions in which no report was written.

Overall, three arrests were made. They included one arrest for DUI, one for possession, and one for being under a controlled substance.

Police services are provided by the City of Canyon Lake through a contract with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. Residents are reminded to contact the police department, not Canyon Lake Community Patrol, for incidents pertaining to the law. For emergencies, call 911.
