On July 12, Lieutenant Will Edwards of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department presented a public safety update for the City of Canyon Lake for the month of June.
Deputies responded to 486 calls for service, a decrease of seven calls from the previous month. Seven Part One crimes were reported: three aggravated assaults, one burglary, one larceny theft, one arson, and one motor vehicle theft.
Deputies wrote seven traffic/parking citations and investigated 14 traffic collisions. This does not include traffic collisions in which no report was written.
Overall, six arrests were made: one for DUI, three for disorderly conduct, one for resisting arrest, and one for harassment.
Police services are provided by the City of Canyon Lake through a contract with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
