Deputies seize 1,286 marijuana plants in San Jacinto grow house

On Friday, January 29, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department served a narcotic-related search warrant in the 200 block of La Boca Street in the City of San Jacinto and discovered the residence had been converted into an illegal marijuana cultivation operation.

Eight rooms inside the residence had been converted into rooms to specifically grow marijuana, according to Sergeant Brad Farwell. The electrical meter had been bypassed, allowing the residents to steal electricity from Southern California Edison to run their illegal operation.

Deputies seized 1,286 marijuana plants at the residence. Huihua Xiong, a 32-year-old resident of San Francisco, and Huang Jiande, a 63- year-old resident of San Gabriel, were arrested for marijuana cultivation. Xiong and Jiande were booked on multiple charges, including utility theft.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Deputy Kevin Farag at the San Jacinto Sheriff Station at 951-654-2702.
