The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced the death of Deputy Terrell Young, who passed away today due to complications from COVID-19. His passing marks the first coronavirus-related death in the department.
Young began his career with the department in December 2005 and worked assignments at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility, Perris Station, Southwest Station, and Court Services. He was most recently assigned to the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta.
Young is survived by his wife and four children.
