Docks to be replaced at Canyon Lake’s Holiday Harbor Park and Harrelson Park

The Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors on Tuesday approved funding in the amount of $194,412 from the Repair and Replacement Fund to replace the Holiday Harbor Park dock and $56,858 from the Repair and Replacement Fund to replace the Harrelson Park dock.

Installed in the late 1990s, the dock at Holiday Harbor Park is showing signs of aging and the deck is deteriorating. To reduce the cost, the POA said it will be reusing the ramp frame since it is still in good condition. New ramp decking will be installed. The dock will be reconfigured for additional space to accommodate 20 boats. The current dock accommodates 12 boats.

The dock at Harrelson park is 20 years old and made of wood. “The ramp is starting to crack as well as the dock frame and deck,” the POA said. “The floats are becoming unstable and almost unusable.”
