A driver was ejected from the sunroof during a single-vehicle crash today in the City of Menifee.
Around 12:32 a.m., the Menifee Police Department responded to a single-vehicle traffic collision at the intersection of Goetz Road and Goldenrod Avenue and located a Chrysler 300 with significant damage. The sole occupant, a 40-year-old female, was found outside.
CAL FIRE and AMR responded to the scene. The driver was transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.
According to the Menifee Police Department, preliminary findings indicate that the vehicle was traveling north on Goetz Road when, for unknown reasons, it veered to the right into the dirt shoulder. The vehicle veered back into the roadway, losing control and rolling over several times, causing the driver to be ejected from the sunroof.
Alcohol is suspected to have been a contributing factor in the collision, according to the Menifee Police Department.
