Canyon Laker Brockton Britton has a profound love and appreciation for police officers. The eight-year-old purchased thank you cards with his own money and passes them out to police officers whenever sees them in public.

Brockton keeps a photo of his father, a thank you card, and a Superman stuffed animal on his nightstand.
“He knows how difficult the last few months have been for police officers, so he bought the cards to spread a little love and appreciation,” said his mother, Danielle Britton. “He carries his wallet with the thank you cards wherever we go. His love for police officers is extreme and sincere.”

Brockton is infatuated with everything associated with police officers, from their gear to their vehicles. He proudly sported a sheriff’s uniform on Halloween.

Brockton can’t contain his excitement whenever he sees a police officer. The youngster was overjoyed when he recently spotted Canyon Lake Deputy Tilley passing out coloring books and crayons at Indian Beach. “He thanked him for his service and had me take a photo of him and the deputy,” said Danielle.

Brockton’s father, who joined the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department in 2007, is his hero. On his nightstand sits a Superman stuffed animal, a thank you card, and a photo of his father.
