Eighteen citations were issued during a DUI Checkpoint on April 24 in the City of Murrieta.
Approximately 750 vehicles passed through the checkpoint between 7 p.m. and 12 a.m. at Margarita Road, north of Torrey Pines Road. Of those vehicles, 27 were directed to a secondary screening area for further evaluation related to driving under the influence and/or driver’s license verification. Officers issued a total of 18 citations.
This enforcement effort was funded by the California Highway Patrol Cannabis Tax Fund Grant.
