Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) marked the conclusion of its 75th anniversary today by sealing a time capsule into the ground at its headquarters. The capsule captures the people, projects, history and purpose that have shaped the district today and preserves them for future generations.
The capsule includes materials that represent EVMWD in 2025, such as key publications, organizational documents, commemorative items, and photos that tell the story of the district’s people, priorities and progress. Together, these items provide a snapshot of how EVMWD serves its customers today.
The time capsule ceremony brought together the EVMWD Board of Directors, General Manager Greg Thomas, and Assistant General Manager Ganesh Krishnamurthy to commemorate the district’s history.
“Today was about honoring the work that came before us while recognizing the responsibility we carry forward,” Thomas said. “This time capsule reflects who we are as an organization, our commitment to public health and safety, honoring our past and the role we play in supporting a thriving community.”
Members of the board shared remarks during the ceremony, reflecting on EVMWD’s growth since its founding in 1950. “This moment is deeply meaningful,” Board President Andy Morris said. “This time capsule represents decades of service, dedication and teamwork, and offers future employees a window into who we were, what we valued and how we served our communities at this point in time.”
