Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) will be conducting equipment testing at Railroad Canyon Dam during the week of September 8. This testing is part of routine maintenance to ensure the dam continues to operate safely and reliably.
During the testing, residents may notice some changes in lake levels, noise from the equipment, and increased truck activity near the dam.
During this periord, residents may notice temporary “rotten egg” odor. Wind conditions could influence how far the odor travels and how long it lingers.
In addition, residents can expect minor lake level changes and increased noise and activity near the dam.
