EVMWD water shut off moratorium ending soon

A temporary suspension of late fees and water shut offs for non-payment is expected to expire by the end of the year and EVMWD wants its customers to be prepared.

The moratorium was adopted by the Board of Directors in March 2020 due to customer job losses and financial difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and was extended several times.

By proactively addressing any past due account balances, customers can avoid late fees and shut offs. EVMWD has numerous programs in place to help customers who are having financial hardships, including payment plans, rate assistance, and EBT payments.
