Enchanting fairy gardens created at Canyon Lake Community Gardeners Club workshop

Despite the inclement weather, the Canyon Lake Community Gardeners Club had a good turnout at its Fairy/Dinosaur Garden Workshop on Wednesday at Sierra Park.

Using succulents and miniature figurines, participants had the option of creating an enchanting fairy garden or a dinosaur garden. Attendees were also given seed starters to plant their own cantaloupe or sunflower.

“Everyone had a lot of fun,” club founder Kelly Lopez said. “The kids were proud of what they made.”

The club will be hosting another Fairy/Dinosaur Garden Workshop on Wednesday, April 5, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The workshop is for both children and adults. The cost is $20 per person. Reservations and pre-payment are required. To register or for more information, contact Brenda Lees at 281-381-8903.
