Canyon Lake resident Erin Ryder has been a dedicated member of the community since 2013, when she relocated from Anaheim. A successful businesswoman and active volunteer, Ryder has made a lasting impact through her various contributions to local organizations and charitable causes.
In 2020, Ryder purchased Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina in the Canyon Lake Towne Center, officially reopening it in 2021. She and her husband, Ed Ryder, are also the owners of Old Town Pub in Temecula, formerly known as Pub and Grub, which they have operated since 2018. The couple previously owned The Boiler Room in Temecula from 2016 until 2024.
Beyond her business endeavors, Ryder is a passionate volunteer and community advocate. She is a member of the Canyon Lake Jr. Women’s Club, the Canyon Lake Pickleball Club, and the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce. Over the years, Ryder has served on numerous committees, including those for the Junior Women’s Club Rocktoberfest, golf tournaments, and Sip and Shop events.
Ryder’s generosity extends far beyond committee work. She has donated food for the City of Canyon Lake’s State of the City address and for the kids who participated in the Canyon Lake Enrichment Activities and Recreation Foundation’s Wakeboard and Waterski Camp.
As an active member of the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce, Ryder has sponsored and participated in its annual events, including the Parade of Frights, Battle of the Businesses, and Pub Crawl. She has also hosted chamber business mixers at Pepe’s.
Ryder’s philanthropic spirit extends to several Canyon Lake Clubs and local organizations. She has made donations to the Family Matters Club, the Mermaids of Canyon Lake Club, and various Jr. Women’s Club events. She has also partnered with The Concerned Family for food donation efforts and collects supplies for Animal Friends of the Valleys, reflecting her passion for families and animal welfare.
In January, the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce named Pepe’s Business of the Year for its unwavering support of the community and chamber events.
When she’s not managing her businesses or giving back to the community, Ryder enjoys spending her time boating and volunteering at the local animal shelter.
Through her dedication to both business and community service, Ryder has solidified herself as a valued member of Canyon Lake, making a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and local organizations alike.
