Renee Griffiths’ most notable volunteer work is serving on the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association Board of Directors, a position that requires about 25 to 30 hours of volunteer time per month.
Griffiths is one of five directors responsible for the management and operation of the Canyon Lake POA’s business affairs. She was elected to the board in 2021. Her two-year term ends in 2023.
Prior to being elected, Griffiths served as a volunteer on the POA’s Finance Committee. In her current position, Griffiths serves as treasurer and the board liaison to the Senior Center Work Group, Finance Committee, Appeals Committee, and Fiesta Day Committee. She is also one of two directors who handle the Individual Dispute Resolutions.
In addition to serving on the board, Griffiths serves as the yeoman for the Yacht Club and is a member of the 9/11 Committee, Bible Club, Junior Women’s Club, and Pickleball Club.
As the yeoman for the Yacht Club, Griffiths is responsible for recording meeting minutes, planning some of the events, and managing social media and advertising. In the Bible Club, Griffiths is in charge of the greeting and hospitality team.
Griffiths and her husband, Mark, have been married for 25 years. They relocated from Costa Mesa to Canyon Lake in 2016. She is a certified financial planner and her husband is a Los Angeles County fireman and a veteran of the U.S Air Force and Marine Corps.
When not volunteering, Griffiths said she enjoys boating, paddle boarding, wine tasting, baking, playing with her dogs, and working out.
