A Canyon Lake resident for more than 40 years, Linda Johnson has served on numerous club boards and committees. She currently serves as the president of the Women’s Golf Club, a role she’ll also be serving again next year.
Johnson is an active member of the Mermaids of Canyon Lake, Woman’s Club, and Fine Arts Guild. She is a former president of the Tennis Club, former board member of the Travel Club, and former member of the Green Committee, Jr. Women’s Club, and Homeowners Club.
As a member of the Woman’s Club, Johnson has served as a volunteer for such club events as the Fashion Show, Mermaid Festival, and Holiday Home Tour.
As a member of the Women’s Golf Club, Johnson has represented the club at such events as Fiesta Day, Club Rush, and the Men’s Golf Club fundraisers. She also participates in Divot Day, helping to fill in the hundreds of divots on the golf course, and serves as a volunteer during the blood drives held at the country club.

In previous years, Johnson served on the Women’s Golf Club’s Celebration of Life Committee, offering help and comfort to the families of Canyon Lake golfers who passed away.
Johnson was one of the original members of the Canyon Lake Bosom Buddies, formed to raise money to provide mammograms and support to Canyon Lake women diagnosed with breast cancer.
“I’ve lived here more than 40 years, so I’ve served on just about every club committee in Canyon Lake,” Johnson said.
When not volunteering, Johnson enjoys golfing, reading, playing cards, attending church, and selling homes at Coldwell Banker.
