A man in a fishing float discovered a body in the north ski area in Canyon Lake on Sunday. Cal Fire responded to the call at 5:05 p.m.
According to a deputy at the scene, the body appeared to have been in the lake for “a couple of days.” Witnesses stated that the victim was an adult male and that the body was unclothed when it was recovered from the lake.
The north causeway was closed for a brief period. The north ski area parking lot remained closed while authorities conducted an investigation near the dock.
