Travis Montgomery, James Randle, Jeanne O’Dell, Sonja Andino, and Jennifer Dain applied for the vacant seat on the Canyon Lake City Council.
Due to the unexpected passing of Councilman Jordan Ehrenkranz, a vacancy on the council occurred on May 5. Pursuant to the requirements of California Government Code Section 36512(b), the council has 60 days from the commencement of the vacancy to fill the vacancy by appointment or call a special election to fill the vacancy.
The council will interview the candidates at a Special City Council Meeting on Wednesday, June 23. Directly following the interviews, the council will take a vote and the appointed individual will be sworn in.
