Kim Pike, former Canyon Lake Library branch manager, returned to her position at the library on January 2. Pike had overseen the library’s operations from December 2021 to May 2023.

Following Pike’s departure from the library, she dedicated several months to caring for her mother before she returned to the Riverside County Library System in September 2023. Due to a reorganization, Pike was reassigned to manage libraries in Sun City and Wildomar.

Expressing her sentiment, Pike said she missed the Canyon Lake Library and was thrilled to be back. “I’ve missed the employees and the patrons. It’s so good to see them again,” she said.

Pike’s responsibilities at the library include bringing programs to the community, managing staff and volunteers, and ensuring the library remains a safe and inclusive environment where people of all ages can utilize the facility and services.

Pike earned a bachelor’s degree in biological anthropology from the University of California San Diego. After graduation, Pike penned a fantasy-themed book that she plans to publish.
