A former correctional officer has been arrested for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile inmate while she was employed as a correctional officer.
On January 23, the Riverside Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Riverside County Probation Department regarding an alleged inappropriate relationship involving a former employee and a male juvenile inmate. As a result, an investigation into the allegations was launched.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the investigation revealed that 42-year-old Cecilia Pulido of Moreno Valley had an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile while she was employed as a correctional officer.
On January 24, Pulido was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for annoying and molesting a child, sexual contact with a prisoner or inmate, and other additional charges.
Pulido posted bail and was released on the day of her arrest, jail records show. She is scheduled to appear in court on March 7.
Pulido was hired by the Riverside County Probation Department as a Probation Corrections Officer in December 2023. She resigned before these allegations were revealed, authorities said.
