Anaiah Powers, a 21-year-old transient, is suspected of stealing four horses on July 12 in the incorporated community of Romoland, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The horses, valued an estimated $140,000, were recovered and reunited with their owner on August 5 after deputies served a search warrant at a ranch located in the 23000 block of Adams Avenue in Murrieta.

Charges will be requested with the District Attorney’s Office for grand theft as a result of the investigation. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Investigator John Layos at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Perris Station at 951-210-1000 or [email protected].
