The friends and family of Petty Officer Adam McNaughton welcomed him home on Tuesday from an eight-month deployment to the South China Sea. He was stationed onboard the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier.

McNaughton is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the nuclear power plants on aircraft carriers. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2011 and has been deployed four times. His current enlistment ends in 2025.

During McNaughton’s recent deployment, his wife, Harmony, gave birth to their son Hudson, who is now two months old and meeting his daddy in-person for the first time. “It feels good to be back home with my family,” McNaughton said.

McNaughton has resided in Canyon Lake since 2004. He is the son of Todd McNaughton and Canyon Lake resident Kellie Welty and the stepson of Christine McNaughton and Canyon Lake Councilman Dale Welty.
