The Riverside County Transportation Commission’s 91 Refresh Project will require a weekend full closure of eastbound 91, including the eastbound 91 Express Lanes in Corona, to allow crews to continue to safely repave lanes. Heavy traffic delays are expected heading east between the 241 Toll Road and I-15. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
The closure of eastbound 91 between Lincoln Ave and Main Street in Corona starts on Friday, October 21, at 10 p.m. and will continue through Monday, October 24, at 5 a.m. The eastbound 91 on-ramps at Serfas Club/Auto Center Drive, Maple Street, and Lincoln Avenue will also be closed. Eastbound 91 past the 71 is closed to through traffic.
Lincoln Avenue will be used as a detour. Motorists who travel on eastbound 91 to Lincoln Avenue will be required to exit, turn back onto westbound 91, and then travel to northbound 71 to eastbound 60 to reach eastbound destinations. Due to the turnaround at Lincoln., traffic delays also are likely on westbound 91 approaching Corona.
Heavy traffic delays are expected for motorists heading east between the 241 Toll Road and I-15. Motorists can avoid the area by using Route 57 or Route 71 to Route 60 to reach eastbound destinations.
