A fundraiser will be held for Desiree Nigg, wife of Wildomar Councilman and former Mayor Dustin Nigg, on Saturday, March 11, at 5 p.m. at VFW Post 1508, 21180 Waite St., Wildomar. The cost of dinner is $12 per plate.
Nigg, 42, was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Colorectal Cancer. The cancer has metastasized to distant organs and (is considered to be) statistically terminal, but she is prepared to fight.
Nigg received her first of many chemo treatments last week and will begin radiation soon, according to a GoFundMe page set up to help alleviate some of the Nigg family’s financial burden.
Nigg is a mother to three young daughters and a Marine Corps veteran who served the country for 14 years.
