Gloria Sanchez has been named Citizen of the Year. Sanchez was honored by the Menifee City Council on Wednesday. She was selected among the 2024 Citizen of the Month honorees.
Sanchez is an example of “service over self,” dedicating her time and talents to improving the lives of those around her. As the chair of the City of Menifee Senior Advisory Committee, Sanchez has been a steadfast advocate for seniors, helping ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met.
Her commitment extends beyond this role, as she also volunteers with the Lake Menifee Women’s Club and the Oasis community. Her leadership and expertise led to her appointment as an advisory council member for the National Family Caregiver Advisory Council, where she advises the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services on family caregiving strategies. Her efforts helped to improve resources and coordination for family caregivers across the nation, making a lasting impact.
