Demolition on the golf course lake is nearly complete and reconstruction will start next week. Once complete, the once badly leaking lake will run more efficiently, saving the POA more than $80,000 in water each year.
The lake, which was last modified in the 1980s, is being reconfigured with natural sloping sides, a new liner, and a new earthen bridge. The new lake will be slightly smaller than the previous lake.
In September 2019, the POA Board of Directors approved funding in the amount of $359,896.51 from the Repair and Replacement Fund for the renovation of the lake.
