Fourth of July fireworks are launched just yards away from Happy Camp, making the campground one of Canyon Lake’s most popular spots to watch the fireworks show. Due to its popularity, the POA holds a lottery to give members an equal opportunity to win a campsite reservation for the holiday.
Lotter signups are taken online between June 12 through June 19 at 4 p.m. Only property owners and property managers may enter. Submissions are limited to one per tract-lot. Members must be in good standing with the POA to enter.
The lottery will stream live on the POA’s Facebook page on June 20 at 10 a.m. A total of 53 sites are available. Ten additional names will be drawn and placed on a waitlist. Winners will be notified by email.
Winners will be charged a three-day minimum holiday rate. Holiday rates range from $49 per day for a tent site to $59 per day for a waterfront site with full hookups. Site winners may cancel their reservation up until July 2. After July 2, sites may not be canceled and site winners who do not show up for their reservation will be charged the three-day minimum holiday rate. Sites are non-transferable and may not be sold.
