The Hemet Police Department uncovered an estimated $620,000 in stolen checks during a vehicle check at a local motel, along with bags of stolen mail, identification cards, shaved keys, lock picks, brass knuckles, pepper spray, and a loaded gun.
The discovery was made by the department’s AERO Team. The U.S. Postal Inspector was contacted and will be assisting with evidence processing and potential additional charges.
