The Hemet Sheriff’s Station received a $110,033 grant from the California Highway Patrol’s Cannabis Tax Fund Grant Program to support saturation patrols in the Hemet Sheriff’s Station’s area of responsibility, enabling deputies to strengthen DUI enforcement efforts, especially targeting cannabis-impaired driving through June 2026.
These funds will help increase the number of deputies working to identify and arrest impaired drivers, while also protecting the community and educating the public on the dangers of driving under the influence.
Deputies from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station will carry out multiple saturation patrols to prevent and identify impaired drivers, focusing on high-risk areas during peak hours.
