Residents are invited to decorate the exterior of their homes for Canyon Lake’s Home Holiday Contest. This year’s categories are Merry and Bright (best display of colored lights), Best Themed Decorations, Best “Canyon Lake Holidays,” Best Holiday Home Street (a minimum of six homes on any street), and Residents’ Choice.
The first place winners in all categories will receive a $150 Amazon gift card and a yard sign. The second and third place winners in all categories will receive a $15 Amazon gift card and a yard sign. The Best Holiday Home Street winners will receive a summer block party with a DJ, pizza, and a jumper.
Judging will be based on “curb appeal” as viewed from the street only. Judges will not enter the property to view the sides, back, or inside of the residence. Judging will take place on December 18 and December 19. The winners will be announced on December 20.
There is no entry fee; however, registration is required. Participants must register by Sunday, December 13, at 5 p.m. Registration forms are available at Pack, Wrap & Post in the Canyon Lake Towne Center and by email at [email protected]
All entries will be included on a map of participating homes.
The Home Holiday Contest is sponsored by Sabrina Alt of American Dream Realty. The judging will be done by volunteers and not by Sabrina Alt or associates of American Dream Realty. Residents can vote for their favorite Residents’ Choice entry by visiting the Canyon Lake Holiday Home Facebook page.
