Michelle’s Place Cancer Resource Center, in partnership with the Mermaids of Canyon Lake Club, is hosting the Hope Lights the Night luminary event on Sunday, March 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Holiday Harbor Park.

This free community event is designed to celebrate life and honor those impacted by cancer, offering a heartfelt evening of music, community, and reflection.

This event features decoration and display of luminary lights and bags, a moment of silence to remember those lost to cancer, speeches, live music, a “Wall of Hope” displaying the names of those honored and remembered, food trucks, and a sunset lighting ceremony.

Attendees will have an opportunity to personalize luminary bags in honor or memory of loved ones affected by cancer. Each bag, which includes a candle, will be placed along the walkway in front of the stage, creating an illuminating “Wall of Hope” as the sun sets.

Enjoy a pick-me-up from Rush Coffee Temecula, cool down with a Tikiz frozen treat, enjoy comfort food with, Big Daddy Express,  savor the flavor of authentic empanadas from Dos Empanadas, or sip on wine from Pamec from Pamec Winery and Vineyard.

Hope Lights the Night serves as a poignant reminder that even in the face of adversity, there is strength in unity and light in the darkest times.

Attendees who do not reside in Canyon Lake must RSVP for gate access. To RSVP or for more information, contact Amber Berkey at Michelle’s Place Cancer Resource Center at 951-699-5455 or [email protected].
