
On April 18 at about 9:40 a.m., deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the 2100 block of Glimmer Way in the City of Perris to conduct a welfare check and located evidence of a homicide. Human remains were later located at the residence, authorities said.
John Douglas Cruthirds, a 44-year-old resident of Perris, was identified as the suspect and arrested on suspicion of murder with malice.
The identification of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. The investigation is ongoing.
