David Alan Stuckert, beloved husband of 35 years, has gone to eternal rest on March 5, 2025, in Canyon Lake, California. A brave fighter, David succumbed to heart and lung failure.
David was born on June 20, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois. He was known as “Chicago Dave” to his friends in California. He was a devoted husband and father who embraced life with enthusiasm and a deep love for his wife, Pamela, and beloved sons, Brayden and Cameron.
David made his family feel like they were the center of all he did, taking great joy in creating so many wonderful lasting memories that his family will forever cherish. He adored his Illinois family and was very proud of his heritage.
David took tremendous joy in raising his children in Canyon Lake. He got a kick out of driving around on the golf cart to see all the glistening holiday lights, cruising to a restaurant for a bite to eat, or catching live music at Holiday Harbor Park. He loved the lake and going on boat rides with friends. All were welcome over for a barbecue and some fun by the pool. The only discrepancy is that everyone had to listen to his classic rock with a splash of “The Rat Pack!” Like he would always say, “In this house, there is no other music!”
On Thanksgiving, David loved to grill a 20-pound turkey with a baileys and coffee in one hand and a baster in the other, while belting out Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.” He took great pride in the homes his family lived in and worked hard to make them beautiful. First, in Lake in the Hills, IL, then in Canyon Lake.
David was a faithful Bears and Cubbies fan to the end. He treasured Hawaii, where he met his wife, fell in love, and married. Maui was his “chill” place. If you knew David, you know he doesn’t chill.
David had a midwestern work mentality and was acknowledged for his analytical eye and was very much loved and respected at Providence Health & Services. He was a principal service engineer for information systems chain supply. He worked in the IS industry for 40 years, starting at United Airlines when he was 24 years old. He was blessed to have made so many lifelong friends along the way.
David was a very spiritual man with a big personality, who gave millions of hugs and belly laughs. He made you feel like you were the only person in the room. His heart was overflowing with kindness, love, and a spirit that always found the silver lining in life.
Though his time was too short, the memories of his laughter, warmth, and unwavering love for his family and friends will forever remain in their hearts.
David leaves behind a legacy of love and a world that is now dimmer without his presence. He is survived by his wife, Pamela McKay Stuckert; sons, Brayden Alan Stuckert and Cameron Pharis Stuckert; and siblings, Denise (Leonard) Sipek, William (Vicki) Stuckert, and Barbara (Robert) Schneider. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeanette and John Stuckert; sister, Karen (Hedger) Stuckert; parents-in-law, Pharis (Mack) and Colleen McKay.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life luncheon on Saturday, March 29, at 12:30 p.m. at the Canyon Lake Country Club, located at 32001 Railroad Canyon Rd., Canyon Lake. In his memory, attendees are asked to wear something that reminds them of David and their time together (i.e. Rat Pack/Sopranos, Hawaiian, or sports).
