Longtime Canyon Lake resident Hub Watson, 96, passed away on the morning of March 27.
Hub was a member of the After Lunch Bunch Golf Club, the Canyon Lake Association of Men (CLAMS), the Tuesday Work Group (TWG), and a 29-year member of the Men’s Golf Club. An avid golfer, Watson continued to golf in his 90s.
In 2013, Watson was voted by his peers for outstanding service to the community through his contributions within the TWG and was presented with the TWG Golden Shovel Award. In 2019, the TWG presented Watson with a 30-year service pin.
Watson firmly believed in the beauty of the Canyon Lake community by the closely-knitted relationships which are born and sustained through the spirit of unity for all.
