To limit the spread of the coronavirus, the 25th Annual Valley-Wide Employment Expo will be held virtually this year. In the past, hundreds of job seekers and recruiters have gathered to network at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio. But on Thursday, October 15, from 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., job seekers will have the chance to meet with potential employers virtually. Registration is required to attend this event. Job seekers can register here. Employers can register here.
Job seekers should prepare a resume, practice a pitch, wear a professional shirt or outfit, attend from a distraction-free environment, and use clear, professional business communication.
Virtual pre-expo workshops will be offered on October 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help attendees prepare for the event. The workshops are not required.
Last year, this event hosted more than 90 employers/exhibitors and thousands of job seekers. Employment opportunities ranged from entry-level positions to upper management positions. Hospitality, retail, banking, gaming, education, and government agencies were some of the industries represented.
