The Canyon Lake Tuesday Work Group (TWG) invites residents to join them for Divot Day on Monday, February 13, at 7:30 a.m. at the golf course.
Volunteers are needed to help fill hundreds of divots on the golf course. Volunteers will be treated to coffee and donuts.
A divot is a piece of turf that is cut out of the ground in the course of playing a stroke. Divots also refer to the hole left where the turf was gouged out. The divots are filled with a mix of sand, dirt, and seed. This process helps to speed up the healing process of the turf.
TWG was formed in 1973 and drafted its charter in 2003, becoming a standing committee with the primary responsibility to perform volunteer work that will beautify and improve the golf course.
