Jerry Jones and Paul Herber clinched first place in the Canyon Lake Bassmasters Club monthly tournament on Saturday. Their five best catches tipped the scales at 20.70 lbs.
Mauro Megalo and Casey Engel reeled in second place with 19.66 lbs.
Fishing solo, Damon Hole took the third spot with 18.43 lbs.
The “Big Fish” title went to Jeremy Duncan, who reeled in a bass weighing 6.62 lbs.
All fish are released back into the lake after weigh-in.
Canyon Lake residents who enjoy fishing and want to improve their skills in a friendly, competitive environment are invited to join the Bassmasters Club. Monthly fishing tournaments are held from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Saturday that follows the first Wednesday.
