The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is offering Free Fishing Day on Saturday, July 3. Fishing without a sport fishing license is permitted on this day.
While no sport fishing license is required on July 3, all fishing regulations, such as bag and size limits, gear restrictions, report card requirements, fishing hours, and stream closures, remain in effect.
