On January 8 at about 11 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a carjacking in the 29000 Block of Lupine Hills Drive in the City of Lake Elsinore. The victim reported her car taken at gunpoint.
The suspect, 25-year-old Carlos Venegas of Lake Elsinore, was taken into custody after a short vehicle pursuit, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported.
A weapon and the victim’s personal property were located in the vehicle, according to Sergeant Rick Garcia.
