A 38-year-old Lake Elsinore man was fatally shot on Sunday in the 28000 block of Wells Fargo Lane in the City of Lake Elsinore.
Deputies responded to the area at around 7:41 p.m. after reports of an assault with a deadly weapon. When they arrived, they found the victim, identified as Brian Rivas, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite life-saving measures, Rivas was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No arrests have been made at this time.
