Lake Elsinore man killed in motorcycle accident

A 38-year-old Lake Elsinore resident was killed on Sunday when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle in the City of Lake Elsinore. The fatal accident occurred around 6:55 p.m. at Grand Avenue and McVicker Canyon Park Road.

According to Sergeant Brad Foster, the motorcycle rider was ejected from his motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene by Cal Fire. The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

A preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle rider ran a red light and collided with the vehicle in the intersection, Foster said in a news release.

The motorcycle rider was identified as Ryan Rice, a 38-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore.
